Statement

The problem I set out to solve is what the patient can do to reduce their chance of diagnostic error. Johns Hopkins Medicine defines diagnostic error as “a diagnosis that is missed, wrong or delayed, as detected by some subsequent definitive test or finding.” In my research, I found that patients who had the most need for this were people who have a history of chronic illnesses. The current tools out there do not fulfill users' needs, so I designed a mobile application that guides patients through documenting their symptoms and organizes the information so that it is easily accessible. It also can recognize trends in the user's health and provide insights around them.
