Statement
In this project, I identified a generational problem and solved for it through user research, design, development, and the testing of a digital prototype.
The Problem: Global citizens need a platform that consolidates authentic cultural exchanges of all types into one place, to aid in meeting their learning goals while also acting as a hub of preservation and celebration.
The Solution: Patchwork is a platform that allows users to search for and book sessions with language tutors, chefs, artists, dancers, penpals, and more within a cultural context, with the goal of learning firsthand about other cultures (or rediscovering their own) in an organized way. The platform offers a diverse curriculum that encourages learning of all methods, in-person and virtual, and centers around niches of language and cultural groups.
