This is the first step to register your internship with MICA. Complete the Internship Orientation at least two weeks before the internship begins to give yourself enough time to submit the Internship Agreement for approval.

Complete the Learning Agreement in www.MICAnetwork.com

The Internship Learning Agreement outlines the terms of your internship, including start and end dates, your job responsibilities, and your goals of the experience. Once you have been hired to an internship, submit the agreement online through www.MICAnetwork.com. This should be done before the internship begins.

Internship Approval

The Learning Agreement is reviewed by multiple parties to ensure the internship is an appropriate and intentional learning experience that adheres to MICA’s standards and guidelines. The agreement is approved by:

  • Career Development
  • your Department Chairperson/Program Director
  • your internship supervisor prior to your start date
  • International Education (for international students)

Approvals are managed electronically through MICAnetwork. Approvals typically only take a few days to process. All parties reserve the right to deny an internship if they do not feel it is an appropriate experience.

Register Your Credits

You will receive an email confirmation of your internship's approval. At that time, Career Development will register your internship for the semester you indicate in your Internship Agreement. Review MICA’s academic calendar for specific semester add deadlines. Be sure to leave enough room in your schedule to accommodate your internship's 3 studio credits.
