The mission of the Global Education Office is to foster intercultural learning and engagement through both domestic and international high-impact programming.

MICA's international student community and off-campus experiential learning opportunities empower students, faculty, staff, and alumni to thrive in an interconnected world. Each of these communities contribute to the advancement of global perspectives and the cross-cultural understanding vital to the creative collective at MICA.

Hours:

  • Office Hours:  
    • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • General Walk in Hours (no appointment needed):
    • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Support for International Students

International Student Services

We assist international students with all F-1 immigration policies and procedures, including I-20s, visas, academic requirements, employment regulations, travel and related matters. We also offer workshops and educational programs throughout the year for international students, covering important immigration, educational, and practical topics.

Experiential Learning

Study Abroad & Study Away

MICA students can participate in experiential learning by either studying abroad internationally or studying away within the United States. Program duration ranges from as long as a full semester to as short as a single week - each allowing them to earn credits toward their MICA degree while engaging in a life-changing cross-cultural experience.

Funding for international research, scholarship, and teaching opportunities

Fulbright Fellows Program

The Fulbright program provides grants for individually designed research projects and other exciting educational and research-based opportunities.
