Statement
LHB Gallery is an online art gallery committed to the art of alternative and historic photographic processes. Alternative photography is defined as any non-traditional, non-silver hands-on process of printing a photograph. Many of these processes were created over 100 years ago. LHB Gallery is committed to keeping these processes alive by educating on the processes and showing work by artists who use them.
LHB Gallery plans to become a premier source for the history of photography and education by providing a place for artists and enthusiasts of handmade photographs using alternative and historic processes to show and discuss their work. Through online exhibitions, social media, blog posts, virtual events, and art sales, LHB Gallery will become a community of artists, enthusiasts, and collectors of alternative process photography. By creating this community of artists and collectors LHB Gallery will use the handmade photograph as a tool for social change and historical awareness. LHB gallery will be the connection between artists of the handmade photograph with collectors.
