Statement

Curtains of Wood explores the death of trees and what follows as a practice. Woodworking differs from and relates to a spiritual practice that could be considered undefined. Wood after death is able to shift and warp, reflecting a continuation of the life force that was once within, being restricted by its own structure. Only after death is a tree able to leave its form and become a manifestation that was left by life.
