As a non-collecting art college, MICA’s exhibition program emphasizes the student experience.Alongside museum-quality, curated exhibitions, much of the calendar is devoted to student conceivedand executed exhibitions. OIE supports MICA in strategic internationalization efforts with the goal of helping MICA create an inclusive global community. International Education staff members assist international students with F-1 and J-1 immigration policies and procedures, administer education abroad and exchange programs to provide all MICA students with global learning opportunities, and support faculty international efforts.

Fabrication Studios facilities are valuable, complex, and diverse resources used by a large portion of the MICA community. There are two types of facilities within Fabrication Studios: campus wide-shops and departmental shops. Access to departmental shops is mostly limited to department majors or students enrolled within a respective departmental course. Campus-wide shops are open to all current MICA students (graduate and undergraduate).

In 2011, MICA acquired more than 75 percent of the historic Globe Poster Printing Corporation's collection of wood type, images, and illustration cuts employed for letterpress and screen printing. Now known as Globe Collection and Press at MICA, the press engages students, faculty, and youth educational programs, as well making new work for non-profits and commercial enterprises.
