Explore art collaboratively with guidance and support from MICA.

Whether it's an entire summer week long program, or fall and spring weekend class,  MICA has a variety of creative community building, art making, and design programming for teens. 

Grades 9-12

High School Studios

Hone in on your skills while creating pieces for your portfolio. High School Studios helps students in grades 9-12 get a head start on understanding what colleges are looking for and how to develop a collection of work that stands out. Students can learn about new areas of art and design, experiment with new mediums, and gain more experience in one they love.

For Baltimore City Rising High School Sophomores

Art and Design College Accelerator Program (ADCAP)

MICA's Art & Design College Accelerator Program (ADCAP) provides a pathway to high-quality art and design college education for Baltimore City students who face financial challenges and are from underserved communities. Participating students will receive not only the advantages of MICA's educational material and curriculum, but also receive the benefits of a dedicated support network and individual mentorship.

For high school juniors and seniors

PreCollege Art and Design Studio Residency Program

Join our community of young artists and designers to learn from MICA faculty members and visiting working creative professionals. Immerse yourself in art and design through our intensive courses of study. You will learn what it takes to create a great portfolio for your college application and how to prepare for the art and design college experience- all while expanding your artistic and intellectual horizons and pushing yourself to a new level of potential. Earn up to three college credits during your summer at MICA.

It's one of the most unique and challenging programs of its kind in the country.
