MICA Parents

MICA Parents Fund

Here at MICA we take pride in our incredible parents, whether they’re connected to a current student or MICA graduate.

We're so excited to see what this community can do together under the College’s mission: EMPOWER students to forge creative, purposeful lives and careers in a diverse and changing world. THRIVE with Baltimore. MAKE the world we imagine.

This year we're asking all parents to consider making a gift to the MICA Parents Fund to support students while they are enrolled at MICA.

MICA Parents are the third largest group of donors to MICA! We embrace parents as valued partners who are helping us to prepare the leaders, innovators and creators of tomorrow. At MICA, we have a strong culture of parent giving and involvement and invite you to be a part of it! We appreciate your thoughtful partnership to make the world we imagine.

What does the MICA Parents Fund Support?

MICA's Parents Fund provides unrestricted support for scholarships (98% of students are on some form of financial aid), premier academic programs, a strong endowment, and a culture of social impact and creative entrepreneurship—and ensures that MICA is a place that fosters outstanding practice and purpose-driven learning. Gifts at all levels have a profound impact on our ability to provide the highest caliber faculty, invest in our students, and remain resilient against evolving challenges and needs.

Why I Give

It's truly inspiring to see the commitment that MICA parents continue to have to the school, and to helping make it a wonderful and life-changing experience for current students. Learn more about why MICA Parents support the College.

"Giving to MICA is an opportunity for parents to support and to be a part of the college community. This includes funding research projects, providing scholarships for students, and supporting artistic, cultural, and community efforts." Pictured: Liza at MICA Parents Council meeting

“MICA gave our daughter the opportunity to refine and enhance her natural abilities so that she could live her life in art both professionally and personally. I will always be deeply indebted to MICA for allowing her to become the person in art that she became, and I will continue to contribute to MICA in her honor.” Pictured: Pastel portrait of Elissa ’90 when she was 12 years old, done by a friend

“We continue to give to MICA because of the outcome and experience that the school provided the family for two generations. We like to support the school for providing a good experience. Our daughter would not be the successful artist she is today had it not been for MICA.” Pictured: Jennie and Stephen, Kinley ’00 and her partner
