Statement

I see my oil paintings, mixed media paintings, charcoal drawings and digitally edited works in a way that I would perceive a stranger. My work is my own stranger, I cannot wait to see what it will share with me. I usually start to work by drawing, and then the idea follows. A blank piece of paper says alot to me when I have put a few lines on it. Since I mostly focus on depicting recognizable subjects when I draw, it is faster for me to reach the point of description in art making. I am fascinated by describing common subjects in odd ways by using transparency, stylistic lines, echoing, color and atmosphere.
