Tyannis Carter (she/they) is a Baltimore native, designer and the Assistant Director of the Office of Culture and Identity. She is a passionate arts and equity advocate and uses Black Feminist Thought as a springboard to inform her politics and pedagogy as she works with the MICA population. Through programming, mentorship and supervision she aims to amplify the voices and experiences of MICA’s students via authenticity, empathy and community building.
