MICA’s DNA

Office of Equity Compliance

MICA affirms its commitment to promote our values of fairness and equity. The Office of Equity Compliance oversees both students and employees.

In accordance with upholding federal law, our office is committed to creating and providing a learning, living, and working environment free from discrimination; through the implementation of inclusive policies and values that align with our community values. Our office is committed to providing equitable response to community issues involving discrimination as well as providing support to members of our community navigating discriminatory behaviors.

This prohibition against discrimination includes engaging in behavior that may:

  • Threaten the physical safety of any member of the community;
  • Create an educational environment hostile to any member;
  • Discriminate against another person or persons; or inflict physical, emotional, or mental injury to, or provoke a violent response from a reasonable person.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact us. We can provide access to resources, answer questions, and help you find the information you need. Please join us in our commitment to provide an environment that is free from sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, and gender-based violence.
