Personal experiences drive the majority of my work. Dabbling primarily in video, photography, and drawing, I find that my favorite subjects are internal and external in nature. My video work focuses on the internal. From my experience with mental illness, I aim to answer my own questions about existence and provide others something to connect with. I tend to use a muted color scheme in my pieces to complement the sometimes muddled and confused nature of my thoughts. With photography, I lean more towards the external. I prefer portraiture as it allows unique ways to look at the subject, highlighting personality from the perspective of an outsider. Drawing connects the two through practices of abstraction and portraiture.
