No, all M.A.T. and B.F.A./M.A.T. graduate students must pass Praxis II to earn their MAT degree. B.F.A./M.A.T. students can earn their B.F.A. without passing the Praxis examination.

What scores do I need to pass?

Refer to the Maryland State Department of Education's (MSDE) website for the current score requirements for Praxis II.

If I fail the test, do the failed scores stay on my record?

No, only your highest scores are shown.

Do I have to take Praxis exams in Maryland?

No, Praxis exams can be taken in any state that offers them.

Can I have my scores sent somewhere other than MICA and Maryland?

Yes, please check the ETS website for the most current policy on score reports. However, your scores should be sent to MICA and the state of Maryland. MICA's ETS code is 5399 and the state of Maryland's ETS code is 7403.

Are any Praxis exams delivered on paper?

No, all Praxis exams (II) are only delivered on the computer.
