Davin is the Founder of Living Design Lab, a local architecture and urban design firm committed to design excellence, innovation, and social impact.

Following his pedagogical training at Rice University and the Harvard Graduate School of Design, he has in his career designed celebrated projects that are transformative to the workplace, cities, and communities. As a lead designer in global design firms RTKL and KlingStubbins, he worked on important cultural, commercial, government, education, corporate, and planning projects ranging in scale and complexity. Davin's design approach places particular emphasis on the creation of vibrant public spaces. Fundamental to his design philosophy is a belief that good design can create better communities and social interactions. As an urban designer and architect, he considers the importance of utilizing both indoor and outdoor environments to foster healthy and active social interactions. As such, in every project, he seeks to uncover new opportunities to program buildings to be flexible, dynamic, useful and engaging.

As a member of the GBC LEADERship Class of 2013 and as a board member for non-profits Civic Works and Hope Forward, he is active in addressing Baltimore City's challenges in education, employment, sustainable development, poverty, and neighborhood revitalization. Prior to teaching at MICA, Davin taught graduate architecture design studios as Assistant Professor in Practice at the North Carolina State University College of Design.
