How It Works

  1. Housing Application Completed
    • Only students who completed their housing application by March 31st are eligible to participate in room selection. All other students will be placed on the waitlist.
  2. Create Your Group
    • Create your roommate group in the application in advance of your selection day.
    • Students will be able to request any returning student(s) to join their roommate group.
  3. Mark Your Calendar
    • Time slots will be designated based on roommate group size and class year. Please note that all the time slots are in Eastern Standard Time (EST).
  4. Time Slots
    • Your time slot will be available to view on the Housing Portal on Friday, April 12, 2024.
    • Time slots will open at 10am on Monday, April 15, 2024
    • Once your time slot opens, you will be able to select an apartment and assign yourself and any roommates to an apartment that are already within your group.
    • Students can sign up at any time after their time slot has begun.
  5. Review Desired Location
    • Juniors and Seniors can choose an apartment in The Gateway or Meyerhoff House.
    • Rising Sophomores can choose an apartment in Meyerhoff House or Leake Hall.
    • First Year students who are returning for their second semester in Fall 2024 will also be permitted to select a room in Leake Hall.
    • Only available rooms that have not yet been chosen will show at the time of your time slot.
    • The maximum number of people allowed to share an apartment is 4, with the exception of two 5 person spaces in Meyerhoff. The apartment must be filled in order to choose it.
  6. Choose your Apartment
    • On the date and time assigned to you, log in to the Housing Portal and sign up your group for an apartment.
    • Only 1 person will need to be logged in to place your apartment-mate into their assignment.
    • Each group member will need to be assigned to individual bedrooms. Identify in advance which person will be assigned to each bedroom for any given apartment.
  7.  Step by Step Selection Instructions
    1. At the roommate Group page, ensure your roommate group appears on the screen before you proceed
    2. Click the save & continue button
    3. Arrive on the Room Selection page, and all available locations will appear
    4. After selecting the building, click the AY 2024-2025 link
    5. Scroll through the available rooms and select your space
    6. If you are in a group, the entire apartment will be added to the cart
    7. Assign each group member a room in the apartment
    8. Click Assign Beds once everyone is assigned
    9. Click Confirm Assignments
    10. A confirmation page will appear with all assignments within the apartment

Waitlist Information

Students that missed the housing application deadline of March 29, 2024 or have yet to select a room by April 18, 2024 will be placed on a waitlist.

The waitlist will be in order based on the date you completed your application. Students that missed the application deadline are not eligible to join apartment mate groups for the sign up process.

Depending on availability, the housing application may reopen and room selection for the waitlist will be held thereafter.
