Robert Reese

Robert Reese joined MICA as Interim Vice President of Admission in 2023.

Prior to becoming a consultant, Robert served as a Vice President for Enrollment several institutions including King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA, LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA, Cabrini University in Wayne, PA, and Holy Family University. He has usually been responsible for supervising Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate Admissions, Financial Aid, Retention, Marketing and Enrollment Data Services. He has also supervised the Registrar Office and Athletics at some institutions.

At several institutions he developed the school’s first strategic enrollment plan in support of the institution’s strategic goals. Through the use of data-driven decision making, predictive modeling, and strong training of admissions staff members, he delivered increased application and enrollment results. He implemented financial aid leveraging to maximize institutional awarding while lowering the institutional discount rates.

When overseeing retention, he developed plans that resulted in a increased freshman to sophomore retention by as much as 7%. Prior to his position at Holly Family, Robert served as the Director of University Admissions at Marywood University. In just two years at Marywood he increased applications by 52%, admits by 37%, and enrollment by 31%, all while lowering the discount rate by 3% and increasing the average SAT score by 12 points.

Robert served in the US Coast Guard as a Hospital Corpsman and in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, retiring with the rank of Major and serving as the Operations Officer of an Armor Battalion.
