Due to continued hazardous weather conditions, MICA academic facilities, including studios and shops will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 2. Liberal leave is also in effect.

Faculty and staff who will be taking liberal leave should notify their department or supervisors; students should contact their faculty. Required Attendance Personnel should report as scheduled or assigned. If you have any questions, please contact your supervisor. Employees who are teleworking are not impacted and should begin work at their regularly scheduled time. 

Remote and online learning will continue as scheduled. For additional information, please contact your course instructor. 

COVID-19 Testing

If you were scheduled for COVID-19 testing before 10 a.m., please plan to attend testing as close to your designated day and time as possible. If not, you may attend on a different day and  time, but please note that there may be delays as the testing team works to accommodate all participants in a safe manner.

Dining Services

Meyerhoff Dining Hall will remain open for regular dining hours, serving lunch from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., and dinner from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.

Transportation Services

Daytime Circulator Shuttles will run their regular routes and begin at their usual time of 9:00 a.m. 

Evening Safety Shuttles will also run at regular times, beginning at 5:00 p.m.  Any changes made due to deteriorating road conditions at night will be communicated through the TapRide App.

Conditions may fluctuate and change quickly. Please avoid travelling if possible, and use caution and your best judgment if you do. Stay Safe.

As a reminder, MICA’s campus is currently in Operational Mode 3 and is highly de-densified with  limited access for students, staff, and faculty this semester due to the pandemic.
