Statement

The Dove Guide to Human Life and Behavior is a parody guidebook that I have written and illustrated with a unique yet relatable sense of humor. The book brings readers into the world of curious doves that like to spend their time observing humans and trying their best to understand these strange creatures. Why do humans molt their feathers so often? Why can’t humans fly? What are the flat shiny rocks that humans hold with their claws and stare at it all the time? Its lighthearted and humorous nature makes it enjoyable to audiences of all ages.

To me, this project is my dream project that combines the love of birdwatching and the exploration of the line between fiction and non-fiction together. It is also written in the form of graphic essays and comics which are my favorite medium of all time.
