Printmaking (Major)

Mary Mashburn

Mary Mashburn, a letterpress printer and instructor, as well as a graphic designer, orchestrated the move of the Globe Poster collection to MICA, where she is working to help integrate the tools and methods of a previous generation of printers into the college culture.

With Globe owner Bob Cicero, she produced Globe-inspired posters for New York's Lincoln Center and Washington, D.C.'s Smithsonian Institution. She is the owner of Typecast Press, a letterpress studio in the Hampden neighborhood of Baltimore, www.typecastpress.com. She is always up for discussing Globe projects and ideas, a well as showing off the heavy metal at her own shop.
