Student Space Gallery Remote Experience

Virtual Exhibitions

The Student Space Gallery program is proud to provide a virtual exhibition experience for Spring 2021. Selected artists will work closely with the SSG Manager to document and showcase their work in our virtual gallery, available at studentspacegallery.com. This platform can support a range of artwork, including audio, video, and embedded web content. Once "installed" in the virtual gallery, exhibitions will remain accessible and viewable through the end of the academic year.

Featured Artist

Each selected artist for the Spring 2021 cohort will be assigned an Exhibition Week in either February, March, or April. Their virtual exhibition will officially launch on the Monday of their assigned week, and they will be highlighted as the Student Space Gallery's Featured Artist on our website, virtual gallery, and social media. During this time, the Featured Artist will have the opportunity to do an Instagram takeover on the @mica_ssg account.

Artist Talk & Panel

At the end of each month (February, March, and April), SSG will host a virtual artist talk and panel with the featured artists of that particular month. Artists will be invited to walk attendees through their exhibition, share the story behind their work, and answer questions from the audience. These events will also be recorded and available for asynchronous viewing at mica.edu/ssg.
