Architectural Terracotta Residency Exhibition

Date
January 29, 2018 – February 11, 2018
Location
Brown Center
1301 W Mount Royal Ave

Last June, a group of five artists, whose specialties ranged from ceramics to digital fabrication tools, traveled to Baltimore for three weeks to study the architectural terracotta features throughout the Bolton Hill neighborhood and make work inspired by that context.

Since then, the artists have returned home to their respective studios, and are hard at work creating the final pieces, which will be displayed at MICA this winter from January 29-February 11, 2018. A public symposium will be held on February 1st, from 7-8pm in Main 110- MICA's old library in the Main Building.

This project has been made possible through the generosity of the National Endowment for the Arts and also the Mount Royal Improvement Association. If you are interested in learning more about the Architectural Terracotta Residency program or would like to support it, please contact Anna Danz (adanz@mica.edu or 410-225-2364) at any time.
