Join indigo culture worker, Kibibi Ajanku, for an artist talk and hands-on indigo dye workshop. At 1 p.m. Kibibi Ajanku will speak about the heritage and practice of West African Dye traditions and the Africans who were enslaved to build an industry. Beginning at 3 p.m., participants will transition to a workshop where they can prepare and dye a t-shirt on a Natural Dye Initiative-Arabber Indigo cart! We join the honored Baltimore tradition with an Arabber and decorated horse drawn indigo vat.
