National Day of Racial Healing: “Understanding and Responding to Racial Terror in the Cultural Context”

Tuesday, January 19 is designated by the W. K. Kellogg Foundation as the National Day of Racial Healing, a time for contemplation and collective action, providing an opportunity to bring ALL people together in their common humanity toward a more just and equitable world.  In collaboration with MICA’s Strategic Initiatives and the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, we will host a forum, open to anyone, “Understanding and Responding to Racial Terror in the Cultural Context.”  The forum will start with a short talk on understanding terrorism by MICA’s Sheri Parks, Ph.D, who served on the Racial Healing resources writing committee, followed by MICA’s campus resources for responding to trauma.  3 –4 p.m., Tuesday, January 19th.  #HowWeHeal
