“At MICA, students experience the intersections of disciplines and approaches,” says Raymond Barclay, senior vice president for enrollment strategy, innovation, and partnerships. “That hybrid experience, paired with intellectual rigor, allows them to push ideas further and take real creative risks.”

As Joseph “Joe” Taylor ’25 (General Fine Arts) puts it, “I felt like a creative secret agent, moving between buildings, talking with students in animation, sculpture, illustration. That cross-pollination kept things fresh.”
