Students are required to submit a Health History form and documentation of all MICA required vaccinations by February 1, 2026.
Login to the MICA Medicat Student Health portal , using your MICA credentials, to document, complete, and upload all required health forms and vaccination information.
International students who cannot obtain certain vaccines, such as Tetanus, due to supply shortages in their home country, can email the MICA student health center at studenthealth@mica.edu to request a temporary exemption until arrival in the US. . Students may also request medical and religious exemptions. The deadline to submit a medical or religious exception request for internal review is Sunday, February 1, 2026.

STI Testing (Sexually Transmitted Diseases)
The MICA student Health Center provides comprehensive screening exams, testing and treatment for all MICA students. Our staff and medical providers are experts in college health and understand the importance of providing sensitive service to our students in a safe and confidential environment.
The staff of the MICA Student Health Services is pleased to assist students under the care of a home medical provider with medication management while attending school in Baltimore, Maryland.
Drop-in/Urgent Care vs. Appointments
Having a medical issue or just not feeling well? Not sure if you should make an appointment or come see us at the Wellness Center during Drop-in/Urgent care hours? Don't worry, we got answers.
There is no charge for standard health visits for full-time enrolled students, which are covered by your student life fees; however, the are fees for lab work, immunizations, and procedures.
Clinicians will refer students to medical specialists and imaging centers whenever necessary. Referred specialists will be determined primarily by the student’s insurance coverage.
In March 2024, the CDC released its current COVID guidelines, shifting from the need to isolate for five days before returning to work or school to a more flexible period of isolation in line with symptoms.
The majority of prescriptions given at the MICA student health center can be electronically sent to a local pharmacy at the request of the student. Chase Brexton has a pharmacy located within our Mt. Vernon Center (1111 North Charles St.) which is available to all MICA students.
