Being Brown at Work // The Art of Freelancing

Being a person of color creates its own special kinds of stresses in the workplace. Moreover, PoC face discrimination every day, both subtle and explicit. In the face of these realities, PoC everywhere take note and manage themselves in a largely white dominated society. This program provides a thorough panel discussion on this topic, addressing, learning and sharing the peculiar rules of race in the workplace. This session will focus specifically on freelancing. The Career Development Office and The Center for Identity and Inclusion are partnering to produce this event.
