Statement

Hello! My name is Ciara I am a Graphic Designer and Illustrator, and for my thesis, I really wanted to go out of my comfort zone and wanted to use my hands more. I stumbled upon Riso and immediately fell in love, enough that I decided it is a great idea to print my short book (seriously, I made so many prints). As a designer, I constantly felt like everything I was doing was too structured or literal (I swear I can design, even though my thesis is heavily illustrated-based). So I decided to create ¿Quieres un Cafésito? a short "book" to share my experiences growing up as a first-generation American, self-expression, gratitude for family and friends, and silly doodles that made me very happy.
