LocallyYours is a mobile platform designed to improve how people discover and support minority-owned small businesses through intentional, trust-centered experiences. Rather than relying primarily on popularity-based algorithms, the platform prioritizes verified, owner-provided business information to create more equitable opportunities for visibility and discovery. By centralizing key details such as business information, accessibility features, community engagement, and support options, LocallyYours reduces friction throughout the user journey. The experience empowers consumers to make values-aligned decisions while giving business owners greater control over how their businesses are represented online. Ultimately, LocallyYours explores how ethical UX design, accessibility, and community-centered technology can strengthen trust and create more meaningful connections between communities and local businesses.
