Marketing & Communications

Overview

Thoughtful communications can extend the impact of partnered courses by documenting the creative process, celebrating student learning, strengthening partner relationships, and sharing the value of creative experiential learning with broader audiences.

Planning early helps ensure that expectations around storytelling, public visibility, documentation, and participant permissions are understood before the course begins.

The Design + Innovation Hub works with MICA Marketing + Communications, faculty, and external partners to identify meaningful stories, coordinate communications, and support opportunities for photography, video, social media, publications, press, and other institutional storytelling. Not every course requires public promotion, but every partnered course benefits from thinking intentionally about how the work (and learning) will be documented.

This section includes tools to help faculty and partners:

  • Plan communications and documentation throughout the semester.
  • Identify meaningful stories, milestones, and key moments.
  • Coordinate communications with partners and MICA Marketing + Communications.
  • Ensure appropriate media permissions and student consent.

The following resources help faculty, partners, and the Design + Innovation Hub plan, coordinate, and document throughout the partnership.
