Planned giving offers a meaningful way to support MICA students and help sustain the College’s creative community for generations to come.

By including MICA in your will or trust or naming the College as a beneficiary of a retirement account or life insurance policy, you can create a lasting legacy of opportunity for future artists and designers.

A gift through your will or estate plans is one of the most flexible and meaningful ways to support MICA. Whether you leave a specific amount or a percentage of your estate, your gift helps ensure future generations of artists and designers can thrive.

You and your advisor can choose the option that works best for you:

If you are 70½ or older, an IRA charitable rollover allows you to make a gift directly from your IRA, reducing your taxable income while making a meaningful impact at MICA.

Avoid taxes on transfers of up to $105,000 from your IRA
Satisfy your required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year
Reduce your taxable income, even if you do not itemize deductions
