Join MICA for a hands-on Wearable Art Workshop inspired by our Bicentennial Fête of Lights celebration. Led by a MICA alum artist, this instructor-led workshop invites participants to create a small wearable art object incorporating light elements.

Designed for makers of all experience levels, the workshop emphasizes creativity, experimentation, and accessibility. Participants are encouraged to wear their creations to the Fête of Lights Gala on February 21, and all workshop participants will receive a promo code for a discounted gala ticket.

Workshop Schedule

Two identical sessions are offered on the same day.

Morning Session
9:30-10:00 am: Check-in & refreshments 
10:00-10:30 am: Welcome, introduction, and demonstration 
10:30 am-12:00 pm: Guided making time

Afternoon Session
1:30-2:00 pm: Check-in & refreshments 
2:00-2:30 pm: Welcome, introduction, and demonstration 
2:30-4:00 pm: Guided making time

Light refreshments will be provided for both sessions. The schedule may shift slightly based on the instructor’s approach and final attendance.
