MFA Filmmaking Alum, Janique L Robillard '17 is the producer of Death by Numbers which was nominated for a 2025 Academy Awards for Best Documentary Short (33-min). The film follows Parkland shooting survivor Sam Fuentes who in the spirit of restorative justice confronts her trauma and prepares to face her shooter in court.

 

Janique and Sam are coming to speak with the film on November 18th at 7:30 pm EST. The screening will be at the Parkway Theatre #1, 5 West North Ave., Baltimore City, 21201. The event is free and open to all of MICA and the public.

 

Janique and Sam will also visit Kirsten Hollander's Documentary Production course the next day, November 19th at 10am, Parkway Theatre #2. This class is open to anyone in the MICA community who wants to learn more after the screening and Q&A.
