Six short films by 18 animators and 11 scientists!!! Brought to you by Maryland Institute College of Art Astro-Animators in conjunction with scientists at NASA GSFC. MICA students will debut their new animations with you and discuss their process for creating these masterpieces. The animations will cover Hunting for Methane on Mars, Mystery Absorbers on Venus, Space Weather and Deadly Auroras, Black Hole Jets, Signs of Life on Exoplanets, and Dark Matter. After the 30-minute screening, there will be a Question-and-Answer session where the students will also be happy to discuss how to become an animator! Coloring sheets from the films and crayons will be available.
