For Staff

Staff who telework are expected to do so. Please check with your supervisor if there are any questions.

If a staff member who has an approved hybrid or remote work arrangement needs to flex their working hours during inclement weather, they must inform and communicate with their department or supervisors so that appropriate coverage and planning can occur. To accommodate telework employees who may be experiencing weather event-related challenges—such as dependents with delayed school openings or school closures—liberal leave is in effect, which means that an employee can use their individual accrued leave (personal, floating, or vacation) for hours not worked. This applies to telework employees.

MICA will continue to monitor the weather forecast and communicate any changes via email, on the MICA/App, or on the website at www.mica.edu
