Community Site Leader 2026-2027

Would you like to learn how to apply your creative skills to address social issues or support community needs? Apply to be a Community Site Leader with the Office of Mission & Community Learning! Community Site Leaders (CSLs) serve as essential liaisons between MICA and Baltimore-based community partners, fostering meaningful arts-based collaborations through a year-long commitment. CSLs work directly with community organizations, such as schools, neighborhood art centers, and rehabilitation or transitional housing facilities to support art engagement!

France Merrick Fellow 2026-2027

France-Merrick Fellows exemplify MICA’s commitment to the transformative power of art within the Baltimore community. Through their work, FMFs cultivate meaningful partnerships between MICA students and local organizations, facilitating collaborative projects and fostering connections between campus and the community. In order to apply, an Undergraduate student must have served as a Community Site Leader in order to qualify to be France-Merrick Fellow. MICA Graduate students must demonstrate at least 1 year of experience working in art education, community engagement/service.

Mission Fellow 2026 - 2027

Mission Fellows serve as representatives of the Office of Mission & Community Learning. Fellows develop a year-long project that activates the MICA community across majors and programs, seeking to build connections outside of the bounds of the classroom. By developing opportunities for community members to collaborate on exhibitions, civic engagement, and service, Fellows apply research, creativity, and community-building skills to support the MICA campus.
