I'm having issues with my roommate, what do I do?
Roommate issues are common and can usually be resolved with open communication. Start by reviewing and completing your Apartment Agreement, which helps set expectations around guests, cleanliness, noise, and shared responsibilities.
If concerns arise, reach out to your Resident Advisor (RA) for support. If the issue continues and is not resolved, please contact your Residential Coordinator (RC) for further assistance.
I got locked out of my apartment, what do I do?
If you are locked out of your room:
- During business hours (9:00 AM – 4:30 PM): Visit the Residence Life Office.
- After hours:
- 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM: Go to the Campus Safety desk, and RA will assist to complete the lockout.
- After 11:00 PM: Go to the Campus Safety Desk for help.
I'm having issues accessing the wifi, what do I do?
Residents can connect to the MICA-Residential WiFi in all residence halls using their MICA credentials.
If you experience issues with WiFi, your MICA account, or email, contact Technology Support Services (TSS). They can assist with:
- MICA account or network access issues
- Email access
- Software support (Creative Cloud, Office 365, etc.)

Room Issues / Maintenance Requests
If something in your room is not working properly, submit a work order request through eMaint.

In case of an emergency:
- Call Campus Safety (24/7 Dispatch): 443-423-3333
- Then call 911
Be prepared to provide:
- Your name, location, and phone number
- The nature of the emergency
- Descriptions of people or property involved
Stay calm and follow all instructions from emergency personnel.
