Residential and Student General Parking Permit Registration

Residential and Student General Parking permit registration is now open for graduate and new students attending MICA in the upcoming academic year.  Follow the information below to register for one of these permits.

Residential Parking Permit

Residential Parking Permit registration for new students and transfer students opens today, August 2, 2022 and ends August 12, 2022. This is for parking (including overnight) in our gated lots at Founders Green for students living in MICA Residence Halls only.  The cost for a Residential Parking Permit is $200 for the academic year, and is granted on a first come, first served basis.

General Permit (non residential)

MICA also offers a General Permit for students who commute to campus. This permit gives students access to park in the Station lot all day, both Lazarus Center lots and the Maryland Ave lot in Station North.  After 3:30 pm on weekdays, a General Permit also allows access to restricted lots (Bunting, 1501 Mt. Royal and Mosher). This permit will not allow access to park overnight on any MICA lots. The cost of this General Permit is $120 a year.

Link for Permits

Please use this link to apply for either a Residential or a General parking permit. You will be given a confirmation number at the end of the process. If approved, you will receive an email from Campus Safety with directions to obtain your permit.  This may take a few weeks as registrations are processed:

Once on the Online Permit Registration page from above, select "MICA Campus Safety" and click on the “Write New Online Permit Registration” box.  Keep an eye out to accept pop-ups if you don't get past the first screen. Choose either “Residential,” or “Student Non-Resident,” plus “2022-2023” and “Student” in the drop down boxes.  Click “Continue” and follow the prompts to fill out all sections completely.

Waiting List

Residential students who do not receive a Residential Parking Permit during the registration period and still wish to purchase a Residential Parking Permit can be placed on a waiting list by emailing your request to transportation@mica.edu. Permits will be issued as parking spaces become available.
