Tuesday: 9-3pm

Wednesday: 10-4pm

Thursday: 9-3pm

Friday: by appt only. Email Jenelle Legge.

Saturday: CLOSED

Hours are posted on the Tool Crib Door and the Middendorf Staircase bulletin board and may change per semester according to the Fiber class schedule and staff schedules.

If Tool Crib staff is absent, please find the Fiber Studio Manager or Research Technician on duty.

How Do I Access the Tool Crib?

• You can request permission to access the Tool Crib if you have had prior instruction at the Fiber Department or are a Graduate Student.                                                  
• You must sign the Tool Crib Agreement to gain access to the crib.                                                                                                 

Important Rules

Sewing machines borrowed from the crib are only available during open hours during the weekdays. They will need to be available for a number of our classes this semester. Students can borrow machines Thursday before closing to hold until Sunday. Students need to return machines before 6pm Sunday.

If you need sewing machines outside these times, we recommend industrial sewing machine training.
