About MICA's Kanopy Subscription
Due to high costs, new licenses on Kanopy are no longer being purchased. Here's what you need to know:
- Access: Anyone with a MICA username and password can view films we already have licenses to stream on Kanopy.
- License Duration: Licenses are typically for one year. If you keep a film on your syllabi, double-check that we still have access to it with a couple of weeks' lead time.
About Enoch Pratt Free Library's Kanopy Subscription
Enoch Pratt Free Library's (EPFL) Kanopy subscription provides additional options:
- Access: Available to those with a regular Library Card or an eCard. Register for their eCard online.
- Additional Resources: An eCard provides access to other digital resources, including eBooks and databases.
- Different Licenses: EPFL's subscription might have licenses to different films, so check both EPFL and MICA's subscriptions when searching for a film on Kanopy.
Accessing Kanopy Off-Campus
Access MICA's Kanopy subscription at https://mica.kanopy.com/. If you are off-campus, you will be asked to log in with your MICA username and password.

- Creating a Kanopy Account: A Kanopy login is optional but useful for creating lists. To create an account, hit the Login button in the upper right bar.
Requesting a Film via Kanopy
- Access to a Film: If we have access to a film, it will show with a Play button.
