MICA’s 177th Commencement ceremonies took place on Monday, May 18, 2026, at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.
Distinguished guests, family, friends, and members of the MICA community gathered to celebrate those who earned their degree requirements during the 2025-26 academic year.
Recipients of the Honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts included alumni Elizabeth Turk ’94 (Rinehart School of Sculpture MFA), Bora Shin ’04 (Graphic Design BFA), and Tedra Wilson/TT the Artist ’06 (General Fine Arts BFA).

Meet the next generation of creative thinkers. MICA Grad Show 2026 will host on-campus and community engagements and virtually showcase the culminating work of MFA and MA graduate students from 14 of the College’s internationally renowned programs.

The Baltimore community — and beyond — is invited to see the incredible work of our students in one of biggest displays of visual art in the city. ArtWalk 2026 will have thousands of one-of-a-kind artworks by nearly 300 of the nation’s most talented emerging artists on view. Free and open to the public!
