Students looking for a quick way to get to the heart of downtown or a ride into northwest Baltimore County can ride Baltimore's metro subway line.

Metro Subway Station Closest to MICA

The closest subway station to MICA is State Center/Cultural Center, located at the corner of Eutaw and Preston Streets a few blocks southwest of campus.

All stations are equipped with fare boxes. These fare boxes accept cash only and distribute single ride, round trip, and weekly passes. Around the end and beginning of the month the fare boxes also sell monthly passes.

Southeast of Campus

Market Place / Shot Tower

Located two blocks north of the Inner Harbor, this station is a convenient way to reach Maryland Art Place as well as a plethora of shopping and restaurants. Best Buy Inner Harbor, Barnes & Noble, Chipotle, Panera Bread, and more are all located within 2 blocks of this metro station. It's also just west of Baltimore City's district post office on Fayette Street, and not far from the neighborhoods of Little Italy and Harbor East.

Lexington Market

The Lexington Market station is across the street from the market and surrounded by both chain stores like Payless Shoes and mom & pop shops full of clothing, accessories, and beauty products.

Charles Center

Charles Center is located in the heart of downtown on Charles Street. Its St. Paul/Calvert exit is a few blocks from Current Gallery on Calvert and Lombard. It's also not far from a SuperFresh grocery at Charles & Saratoga Streets.

Northwest of Campus

Mondawmin

This station is located in the loop surrounding Mondawmin Mall, which has been drastically redeveloped in recent years. It now includes Baltimore City's first Target as well as a Shoppers grocery store and many "standard" stores found at most malls in the Baltimore area.

Reisterstown Plaza

Reisterstown Plaza station is across the street from a large strip mall that includes a Home Depot and a Giant grocery store.
