Selected by Amazon as one of the best 50 books of the year, received the Friends of American Writers Award for Fiction and has been published widely in Europe. He has had essays published by , , , and , and his long story “The Market for Virgins” was published as an e-book by Amazon’s StoryFront, a new imprint for fiction. At MICA, he teaches literature and creative writing, and is the founding editor of , a new journal of art and design. In the past, Paul has worked as a journalist and a publicist. A graduate of Oberlin College, he received an MFA in fiction from Cornell University, and travelled to Lithuania on a Fulbright scholarship. He now lives in Maryland outside Washington, D.C.
