Regardless of insurance plan, there is no fee for services performed within the student health center. This includes the office evaluation, procedures and any in-house lab testing performed (Strep, Flu, Mono, COVID, Urinalysis, Pregnancy test etc.)
MICA’s student health center is in-network with most major insurance carriers. All services and charges related to the visit will be billed to your insurance company. This includes charges for the office visit, any in-house lab tests, office procedures and immunizations.
Co-pays and any remaining fees/balances not covered by your insurance, (including deductible amounts) will not be charged to the student.
Students WILL BE responsible for any charges related to lab work that is sent for outside lab testing through LabCorp. LabCorp will bill your insurance for these charges and will bill the student for any remaining balance.
Students with policies through Kaiser Permanente can still be seen at MICA’s student Health Center at no cost for medical evaluation only (this includes examination and in-house testing such as Flu, Strep, COVID, Mono, Urinalysis). Since Kaiser is not in network with LabCorp, students with Kaiser who need outside lab tests performed, will need to go to a Kaiser designated facility for further management.
