The Maryland Institute College of Art is delighted to partner with the Winthrop Apartments in Towson, Maryland, to open a Request for Proposals for a site-specific Art Commission of a large-scale diptych painting or mural.
The artist honorarium is $12,000 inclusive of all materials and installation.
Each of the (2) panels for installation (pictured below), formally occupied by a plant wall, measures 121 x 173 inches.
MICA will select the artist through an online application and jury process to allow work to begin no later than July 2022. There is a $10 application fee.

Currently enrolled MICA Graduate Students and Alumni from a MICA Graduate Program

Proposals should include up to 5 examples of previous work, a sketch of the planned installation, artist statement and CV. Online application LINK here.
