Counseling Awareness & Autism Acceptance Month Kick-off Event

April 1st serves as the kick-off for Student Counseling Center’s (SCC) recognition of April 2026 National Counseling Awareness and Autism Acceptance Month. Meet SCC staff in Fox Lobby and receive resources about autism, the counseling profession, scope of services, and the benefits of counseling. While visiting us, get your fidget toy, resource bag, and draw your favorite neurodivergent characters.

In recognition of STI Awareness and Sexual Assault Awareness Month learn about STI prevention, contraception, and sexual wellness while also accessing resources that promote sexual assault awareness, consent education, and support services. In addition, confidential STI testing will be offered by STAR TRACK. Giveaways, Resources, STI Testing, and more!

Spring Forward-Resource Sharing & Individual Advisor Support for Neurodivergent Students

Collaboration: Student Counseling Center (SCC) Student Academic Success (SAS), & Academic Advising (AA)

Tuesday, April 21, 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
81 Mosher, 2nd Floor

Visit with Student Counseling, Student Academic Success, and Academic Advising for a special semester closeout event to support students getting through registration and finals. Students will have the opportunity to meet with staff to discuss managing stress, registration for fall classes, and getting assistance with completing assignments. In closing of Autism Acceptance Month awareness events, enjoy working on puzzles, writing words of affirmation, giveaways, and snacks!

More events will be posted as we progress through the academic year.
