Counseling Awareness & Autism Acceptance Month Kick-off Event Fox Lobby • Wednesday, April 1, 2026, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. April 1st serves as the kick-off for Student Counseling Center’s (SCC) recognition of April 2026 National Counseling Awareness and Autism Acceptance Month. Meet SCC staff in Fox Lobby and receive resources about autism, the counseling profession, scope of services, and the benefits of counseling. While visiting us, get your fidget toy, resource bag, and draw your favorite neurodivergent characters. |

Let's Talk About It!...Sexual and Reproductive Health-Body Literacy Forum Collaboration: Student Counseling Center (SCC) & Student Health Center (SHC) Thursday, April 9, 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. • Featured Presenter: Maureen Luthardt, GYN Nurse Practitioner • Ask your question prior to the event: An educational Q&A dedicated to sexual and reproductive health. The forum provides a space to ask questions, exchange knowledge, and explore evidence-based information on topics ranging from STIs, sexual/reproductive/ menstrual health to gynecologic care. |

Spring Forward-Resource Sharing & Individual Advisor Support for Neurodivergent Students Collaboration: Student Counseling Center (SCC) & Career Development Friday, April 10, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Join the Student Counseling Center (SCC) and the Career Development Office for professional development and mental health resources for neurodivergent students. You will also have options to chat with Lehna Huie and Ingrid Pyne, your career advisors, to get one on one feedback and have your career questions answered! |

Beyond the Surface...STI and Sexual Assault Awareness Event Collaboration: Student Counseling Center (SCC), Student Health Center (SHC) & Health Promotions Wednesday, April 15, 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. STI Testing: 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Mobile Van Outside Near Fox/Bunting Building In recognition of STI Awareness and Sexual Assault Awareness Month learn about STI prevention, contraception, and sexual wellness while also accessing resources that promote sexual assault awareness, consent education, and support services. In addition, confidential STI testing will be offered by STAR TRACK. Giveaways, Resources, STI Testing, and more! |

Disability Affinity Group Collaboration: Student Counseling Center (SCC) & Accessibility and Disability Services (ADS) Wednesday, April 15, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Join the Student Counseling Center (SCC) and Accessibility and Disability Services (ADS) for a special affinity group event in recognition of Autism Acceptance Month providing a space where students can be supported and discuss being neurodivergent. |

Spring Forward-Resource Sharing & Individual Advisor Support for Neurodivergent Students Collaboration: Student Counseling Center (SCC) Student Academic Success (SAS), & Academic Advising (AA) Tuesday, April 21, 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Visit with Student Counseling, Student Academic Success, and Academic Advising for a special semester closeout event to support students getting through registration and finals. Students will have the opportunity to meet with staff to discuss managing stress, registration for fall classes, and getting assistance with completing assignments. In closing of Autism Acceptance Month awareness events, enjoy working on puzzles, writing words of affirmation, giveaways, and snacks! |
