Wellness Coordinator

General Purpose

 Represent the student voice, by serving as conduit between Wellness Center and the MICA community.

Summary of Essential Functions

  • Student liaison between departments on campus and the Wellness Center
  • Plan and execute 3 Wellness programs per semester
  • Attend and Staff wellness events

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop health promotion initiatives
  • Work up to 8 hours a week managing areas of responsibility, programming communicating with constituents
  • Manage assigned areas of responsibilities: Mental/Emotional Health, Physical Health, or Prevention
  • Manage assigned outreach responsibility: Social Media, Stall Street Journal, or Wellness Wednesday
  • Attend weekly meetings and monthly all staff meeting
  • Work one shift a week as a Fitness Assistant
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of general wellness practices
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a MICA student
  • Good disciplinary and academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.00
  • Demonstrates and interest personal wellness

Conditions of Employment

  • Time worked is determined based on availability and needs of programming


  • An hourly rate of $11.20
  • This includes Fitness Assistant shift, meetings, attending, and planning events
