Wild Clay Ceramics transforms environmental challenges into artistic beauty. Founded by ceramic artist Alexandra Ozga, the project turns harmful algal blooms from the Chesapeake Bay and Baltimore Harbor into ceramic glaze. The collected algae is converted into ash that becomes a functional material while shining a light on environmental issues.
Anushka Jajodia is a designer and participatory researcher whose work bridges storytelling, visual design, and public health to improve community well-being. A graduate of Maryland Institute College of Art’s MA in Social Design program, Anushka now serves as a full-time Design Strategist at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, collaborating with clinicians, researchers, and public health experts to address complex social and health equity challenges through human-centered, community-driven design.
