Transportation
MICA Transportation offers free services for students to assist with their transportation needs. All services operate during the academic school year.
MTA Bus or Baltimore Link is a local public bus that costs $2 for a one-way ticket or $4.60 for a day pass.
The Charm City Circulator is a FREE bus that travels in four routes in the central business district. The closest stop from MICA campus is at Penn Station for Purple Route that travels up to 33rd Street and down to Federal Hill.
Light Rail Link is a rail system that connects Baltimore city to surrounding counties. The north point is Hunt Valley (Baltimore county) and the south points of Glen Burnie and BWI Airport. The closest light rail stops on MICA campus is the Mt. Royal/MICA stop on Mt. Royal avenue and North Avenue, near the Station Building.
Ride-Share programs like Uber and Lyft are also available in Baltimore. Another way to get around the city is by borrowing a scooter or bike. Spin, Lime and Uber offer rentable scooters and bikes. Just download the apps to request a ride or see what scooters and bikes are available around you.
Parking
MICA has several parking lots available with a registered permit. Learn more about obtaining a parking permit here. Street parking is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Studio Space
Students are able to use the studio spaces in Fox Building, Room 218 and Main Building, Room 310, 4pm-12am Monday-Friday, 24 hour access on weekends.
Lockers
Need a locker to hold your artwork and supplies at Fox Building or Main Building? All lockers are assigned on first come first serve basis. You will receive an email from the Office of Student Affairs, within 3 business days, with your locker assignment if available. Learn more and register for a locker here.
