Summer Art Camp

Students in Grades K-12 can maximize their summer by engaging in classes that promote freedom of expression in a structured way at MICA. Registration for classes will be open early February.

2026 Session Dates:

Summer classes meet Monday through Friday
All classes will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 

  • Session 1: June 22 to June 26

  • Session 2: June 29 to July 2 (no class July 3)

  • Session 3: July 6- July 10

  • Session 4: July 13 to July 17

  • Session 5: July 20 to July 24 

  • Session 6: July 27 to July 31

  • Session 7: August 3 to August 7

Camp Location:

  • Summer Art Camp classes are held on MICA's campus in the Fox Building located at 1305 W. Mt. Royal Ave. Baltimore, MD 21217.

K-8 Drop off and Pick-up Options:

  •  Drop Off available between 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. | (Class starts at 9:30 a.m.)
  • Pick-up available between: 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. | (Class ends at 3:30 p.m.)

Before- and after-care is included at no additional cost and only for students in grades K-8. Simply drop off your child directly to the care room and staff will escort students to class in the morning and back to the care room for after care. Care supervision is for K-8 students only. Students in 9-12 grade can dismiss themselves or wait on campus for their guardian to pick them up. 

Lunch:

MICA does not provide any meals for students. Families should plan to send students with a packed lunch that does not require additional heating or cooling. Students in grades K-8 will have a supervised lunch break at 12 p.m.  High school students are able to take lunch on their own beginning at 12 p.m. and return to their class at 1 p.m.

Summer Art Camp costs includes:

  • Art Supplies and materials
  • K-8 Care Supervision
  • Adobe Creative Cloud access for technology related classes

MICA PreCollege

MICA’s PreCollege Summer Program combines studio classes, workshops and artist talks to give students a transformative summer experience all while earning college credits and learning from MICA faculty! Create memories while enhancing your art and design skills at our one-of-a-kind summer experience for students age 15-17. This program is available in 2-Week & 4-Week sessions, and students can live on campus or commute from home.
